Penbridge Court Estate

Dating from around 1800, Penbridge Court is a beautifully restored, converted threshing barn with three farm cottages

grouped around a gracious central courtyard. It is nestled on the edge of the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding

Natural Beauty.

The perfect place to spend time with family and friends, Penbridge Court combines homely luxury with stress-free

living. Dine in style, relax in the hot tub or snuggle up with a glass of your favourite bubbly.

Ideal for celebration meals with friends and family, the dining room seats up to 24 guests, banquet style.  Featuring a

log-burning stove to help keep you warm on cold days and equipped with RangeMaster ovens, the sizeable but cosy

open-plan farmhouse kitchen has a large central island, two butler's sinks, a wooden “butcher’s block” and everything

you need to cook both for – and with – your group.

The sheltered and secluded rear garden offers privacy and secure space for all. Soak up the sun in these beautiful and

tranquil grounds, have fun playing ball or enjoy a barbecue. A games room with pool table stands ready for rainy days.

The spectacular surrounding countryside is only disturbed by the whistle of the heritage steam train that runs along

the nearby tourist line. Take a short stroll back in time to the award-winning and much-filmed station at Crowcombe

Heathfield. Stunning walks and hikes are in easy reach along the top of the nearby Quantock Hills. This calm and

welcoming home-from-home is directly off the A358 but has no passing traffic.

Great family days out are on the doorstep, from gorgeous Lynmouth or the beaches of Watchet and Doniford to the National Trust’s Dunster Castle. Exmoor National Park is within a short drive – say hello to the wild ponies!

Penbridge Court is children, golfer and dog-friendly. Nearby is a good pub, while local shops are just three miles away

in Bishops Lydeard.  Viewings welcome by appointment.

Three Cottages

Sunset, Stable and Byre cottages come as part of the Penbridge Court estate and provide additional privacy

and space for couples and/or families in your party. Each cottage is self-contained with its own kitchen, living room

and bathroom(s). The kitchens are equipped for light meals and have additional ovens as required.

The cottages are in close proximity, so your group will not be split up.

Sunset Cottage

Sunset cottage benefits from beautiful natural light, with gracious picture windows in the main bedroom.

Upstairs is a double bed and en-suite bathroom. Downstairs is a kitchen, living area with sofa-bed, and toilet.

Stable Cottage

Stable sits opposite the main house and is a great space for young families, with a double master bedroom and

adjoining twin. The living area has a high vaulted ceiling and log burner beside the open archway to the kitchen.

Byre Cottage

Byre is joined to the far end of the barn and enjoys a log-burner in the centre of the floor-plan. The floor to ceiling

windows create a really relaxing living space. An additional sofa-bed means that the Byre can sleep up to 4 guests.
